Prepare to be astounded by an expert solving a Rubik’s Cube in a world-record 3.13 seconds

We’ve seen machines solve a Rubik’s Cube in an astounding amount of time.

But humans? The record for a while has been a solve in 3.47 seconds (see below), which — to me — sounds downright impossible to break. But earlier this week? Max Park SMASHED Yusheng Du’s time.

We’re not talking by 0.01 seconds here. Dude did it in 3.13 seconds, which feels like a 100-meter dash runner finishing 10 steps ahead of everyone else. The video is below and you’re going to want to watch it a few times like I did, both because this is astounding and because of the reaction from everyone in attendance at a World Cube Association event:
