Premio Lo Nuestro 2024: Stunning, Innovative, and Surprising Styles at the Magenta Carpet

MIAMI - The magenta carpet at the 2024 Premio Lo Nuestro was a stunning showcase of high fashion mixed with the best in Latin and Latin American couture, set against the backdrop of the skyscrappers of Miami's Downtown.

The evening's fashion narrative was dominated by a palette of black, metallics, and a mix of original creations. Classic eveningwear was given a fresh twist with unique and unexpected details, illustrating the dynamic spirit of Latin music and culture.

Notable among the best dressed were Camilo and his wife, Evaluna Montaner, who made a striking pair in coordinated black and white ensembles. Evaluna's mermaid-cut dress elegantly accentuated her baby bump, making a beautiful statement.

Gloria Trevi and Natti Natasha, in creations from Valdrin Sahiti and Yves Saint Laurent respectively, were standouts. Their glamorous choices exemplified the night's high fashion stakes. Christian Chavez and Christopher Uckerman of RBD fame also turned heads with their complementary black outfits, showcasing a deconstructed take on the classic tuxedo.

Hailing from South America, Anitta and Tini brought contrasting styles. Anitta's sexy black dress featured architectural cut-outs and clear plastic elements, while Tini stunned in a golden dress, surprising many with her new short haircut.

Mexican TV host Karina Banda, one of the presenters of Univision's new show "Desiguales," also made the best-dressed list with a creation by Argentine designer Gustavo Cadile. Similarly, Mexican actress Bárbara de Regil, known for her roles in "La Lola" and "Pacto de Sangre," wowed in a semi-nude green dress with delicate gauze and beadwork.

Ana Bárbara, one of the night's honorees, impressed all in a sculptural black dress with striking blue elements. New artists like Gale and Joaquina, the latter a Latin Grammy Award winner for Best New Artist, evoked classic Hollywood elegance with sophisticated black dresses.

Ángela Aguilar surprised with hair extensions, wearing a white dress with black straps.

Isadora Figueroa, daughter of Chayanne and an emerging singer-songwriter, wore a dress that combined a hard gold corset with a subdued black skirt. Men were not left behind, with many opting for designs by renowned designers. The regional Mexican artists stood out with their flashy ensembles, blending traditional band outfits with fantasy gemstones, mixed materials, and cowboy hats paired with tuxedos and ties.

An unexpected splash of color was the violet worn by Adamari López and Amara la Negra.

Mexican band Los Ángeles Azules surprised with coordinated outfits, the women in bright red dresses and the men in jackets made from a custom fabric featuring the logo of the iconic cumbia group.

Black remained a favorite among men who preferred traditional elegance. Don Omar, honored with the Global Icon Award, opted for an all-black suit and bowtie.

Pepe Aguilar's black suit was accented with a colorful catrina, symbolizing death and central to his upcoming 'Jaripeo hasta los huesos' tour starting in March in the U.S.

Argentinian artist Diego Torres also chose black. He was accompanied by his 11-year-old daughter Nina, who was experiencing her first red carpet. Casual looks were seen on members of Mexican quartet Eslabón Armado, reggaeton artists Ñengo Flow, and urban young artists Snow The Product and Pao Pao.

Premio Lo Nuestro, now in its 36th year, took place at Miami's Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat basketball team. The night was not just a celebration of music but also a dazzling display of fashion that underscored the rich tapestry of Latin culture and style.
