Chelsea v Man United
Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri faces a tough selection decision up front before tonight's clash at Stamford Bridge. Eidur Gudjohnsen, Gianfranco Zola and youngster Carlton Cole are all pressing for the starting role alongside Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. John Terry and Jody Morris will not play any part after being cleared at their court case in London yesterday. Morris is lacking match fitness while Terry is still recovering from a knee injury and is two weeks from full fitness. British record signing Rio Ferdinand has been included in United's squad, although Sir Alex Ferguson gives him only a very slim chance of playing. Fabien Barthez is still out meaning Roy Carroll will continue in goal, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping for a recall to the starting XI after netting his 100th goal for the club at the weekend.
Birmingham v Blackburn
Birmingham will still be without the suspended duo of Paul Devlin and Robbie Savage for their first home game in the top division for 16 years. Clinton Morrison remains doubtful with the groin problem which kept him out of the defeat at Arsenal, although Jovan Kirovski could make his debut after the completion of his move from Crystal Palace. Blackburn skipper Gary Flitcroft returns to the squad after an ankle injury, although long-term absentees Stig Inge Bjornebye and Matt Jansen are still unavailable. Graeme Souness must also do without the suspended Keith Gillespie, whose place is likely to go to Craig Hignett.

Stig Tofting and Akin Bulent are still out although Henrik Pedersen may win a starting place up front alongside Michael Ricketts. Midfielder Scott Parker is once again ruled out for the Addicks. South African duo Mark Fish and Shaun Bartlett are both included in the squad after recovering from long-term knee injuries.

Swiss international Stephane Henchoz should be fit to take his place in Liverpool's defence after picking up a groin injury on midweek international duty. Dietmar Hamann is fit after the knee injury which forced him out of Germany's squad for the friendly with Bulgaria. Finnish goalkeeper Antti Niemi's £2m move from Hearts has been delayed by the results of his medical, so Paul Jones will keep his place for the visit to Anfield. Defender Tahar El Khalej is still suspended while Agustin Delgado has not yet recovered from his knee injury. Mark Draper could return after proving his fitness in a midweek reserve run-out.

Peter Schmeichel has shaken off a knee injury and should make his debut for the visit of Kevin Keegan's former club as City begin their final season at Maine Road. New loan signing Karim Kerkar fails to make the squad, but Steve Howey returns after suffering a groin strain at Elland Road last week. Midfielder Gary Speed returns to the Newcastle squad after an ankle injury, although he faces competition from the promising young duo of Jermaine Jenas, and £8.5m signing Hugo Viana. He is joined by Andy O'Brien who has recovered from shin splints, but Craig Bellamy (knee), Laurent Robert (back), Clarence Acuna (thigh) and Carl Cort (groin) will all miss out.
