Premier Sports in Rangers vs Stranraer request as broadcaster delivers supporter plea

Rangers and Stranraer supporters looking to subscribe to Premier Sports have been told to expect a wait due to the broadcaster being "extremely busy".

The subscription-based service has urged fans to use their website with phone lines jam-packed just hours before the fourth round Scottish Cup clash at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard's side return to competitive action for the first time since their 2-1 win over rivals Celtic in their final match before the winter shutdown on December 29.

And Premier have warned supporters there is a backlog of calls and have asked for fans to sign up online.

They wrote: "Trying to call us for today’s Scottish Cup game between Rangers & Stranraer?

"Interest from fans has been fantastic and despite additional staff in place our phone lines are extremely busy."

Premier will also air Partick Thistle vs Celtic on Saturday evening with the holders travelling across Glasgow to face the Jags.

The broadcaster, along with BBC, agreed a £20m six-year deal with the SFA to air the competition until the end of the 2023/24 season.
