Premier Modular rises to the challenge for Greggs drive-thru bakery off-site build

East Yorkshire offsite construction specialist Premier Modular has delivered its first project for Greggs.

The Brandesburton firm was appointed by developer Burney Group to manufacture the drive-thru bakery for a site at Ransom Wood, Mansfield.

Premier has previously worked for the Essex-based firm on several retail projects for major brands, including Starbucks.

It was manufactured at the huge base, before internal fit out was completed on-site in Derbyshire.

A spokesperson for Premier said: “This use of offsite construction brings significant programme reductions compared to in-situ construction, generating a faster return on investment for the developer and the retailer.”

A total of 15 new jobs have been created by the investment, with the project bringing a fresh new design and outdoor seating.

Premier itself is on a huge growth run, with strong performance supporting the NHS through Covid, be it ward expansion or testing facilities. It recently secured a major HS2 contract.
