Premier League TV plan revealed as Tottenham gain upper hand on Liverpool to seal free transfer

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Monday, May 18.

Tottenham dealt blow in teenager chase

Tottenham are set to miss out 16-year-old Linfield sensation Charlie Allen after the Northern Irish club reportedly accepted a £300,000 bid from Leeds.

Spurs had been keen on signing the attacking midfielder, who has been described as one of the most exciting young talents in Northern Ireland football.

However, Football Inside report Marcelo Bielsa’s side have won the race to capture the teenager’s signature.

Tottenham behind the scenes

Allen has reportedly agreed a scholarship deal that will become a professional contract when he turns 17 in November.

Winger keen on Spurs move

Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser has reportedly expressed his desire to join Tottenham.

Fraser, 26, whose contract at the Vitality Stadium expires this summer, has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal, but The Mirror claim the Scotland international has his heart set on a move to Spurs.

With transfer funds at the club expected to be limited this summer, Jose Mourinho might take advantage of the fact Fraser will be a free agent to add to his squad.

Fraser who joined the Cherries in 2013, has scored 24 goals and registered 33 assists during his time on the south coast.

Spurs discover TV schedule for Premier League return

All remaining Premier League matches are set to be televised when the league eventually returns to action this season.

The 92 remaining fixtures are expected to be crammed into a six week period, with June 12 provisionally pencilled in for games to restart.

Spurs, along with all the other top flight clubs, will play behind closed doors at their home grounds after a plan to play at neutral venues was abandoned.

According to the Mirror, Sky and BT will broadcast the majority of matches with negotiations ongoing with Amazon and some games going free to air on the BBC.
