It is now not long until the Premier League returns, with excitement and anticipation continuing to build.
It also means that clubs will be looking to rush through their latest transfer dealings with the hope of getting them done in time for the first game of the season.
The Coronavirus pandemic has put a different spin on the summer transfer window this year, but that still hasn’t stopped clubs making their moves for targets.
Every Premier League team has now completed at least one transfer.
But even after the start of the season comes about, clubs will still be looking to add new faces before the October deadline.
With that, here are the latest Premier League transfer rumours.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talks with Sancho
It’s been one of the most talked-about transfer sagas of the window so far, with Manchester United trying to conclude a deal that will see England international Jadon Sancho arrive at Old Trafford.
The winger is likely to cost in excess of £100 million should a deal be reached. That breakthrough is yet to come.
However, according to journalist Fredrik A. N Filtvedt (via the Express ), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not giving up on the move, and has held talks with the player ‘several times.’
Blues close in on keeper
Football.London report that Chelsea are increasingly confident of striking a deal with Rennes for goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
A deal for the 28-year-old could well be completed in time for the Blues' Premier League opener away to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Rennes initially rejected a bid of £18m for the keeper but could well accepted an offer of around £25m.
Chelsea technical director Petr Cech, who played for Rennes before switching to Stamford Bridge, is said to be a big fan of the Senegal international.
Crystal Palace make Evanilson enquiry
Crystal Palace have made an enquiry about Fluminense striker Evanilson, according to the Daily Mail .
The forward is also said to be interesting the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City who have sent scouts to keep an eye on the 20-year-old.
Evanilson is said to be open to moving to the Premier League, but his club are keen to keep him at least until the end of the season.
