There’s now just over a week remaining of the summer transfer window as Premier League clubs look to conclude their business.
With the top-flight season well underway, managers may have identified what they need to add to the squad in order to progress during the 2020-21 campaign.
Kai Havertz’s £71m move to Chelsea is currently the most expensive signing of the window so far as we reach the closing stages.
Here, we have gathered the latest Premier League transfer rumours.
Lyon demand £46m for Aouar
Lyon are demanding £46m for their midfielder Houssem Aouar, after Arsenal had a bid of £32.8m turned down for the Frenchman.
That’s according to RMC Sport , who say that the Gunners had a bid of €36m rejected for the France midfielder and are set to make another offer of €38m straight away.
However, the Ligue 1 side will also reject the new offer, as they are chasing €50m for the 22-year-old.
Contrary to some reports, Aouar has not yet agreed personal terms with Mikel Arteta’s side, the report states.
United confident over Telles transfer
Manchester United are confident they will be able to complete the signing of Porto left-back Alex Telles, according to the Daily Star .
The Portuguese side are asking for £18m for the Brazil defender, a figure United aren’t too keen on paying.
The report says that United believe this is too much for a player entering the final season of his contract and identified Ajax full-back Nicolas Tagliafico as an alternative.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are confident that they will be able to reach an agreement with Porto in the latter stages of the window.
United make enquiry over Kante
Manchester United have made a transfer enquiry over Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to the Daily Mirror .
Kante has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer, to be reunited with former Blues boss Antonio Conte.
Frank Lampard’s side are willing to let the French midfielder leave the club this summer if the right offer comes in.
Now, Solskjaer’s side are interested in making a shock move for one of their rivals’ star players, the report states.
Leeds’ “concrete interest” in Welsh winger
Leeds United have “concrete interest” in Manchester United and Wales winger Daniel James, according to Sky Sports, via the Sun .
The Whites held an interest in James before he made the switch from Swansea City to Old Trafford last summer.
However, he joined United, but he is now struggling for first-team football due to the form of Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial.
Sky Sports’ transfer expert Dharmesh Sheth said: “While Manchester United are struggling to offload players, there does appear to be a concrete interest from Leeds in the winger Daniel James.”
