We are now well into the business end of the summer transfer window, with teams doing all they can in order to strengthen their squads.
With the summer transfer window closing at 11pm on Monday evening, Premier League clubs have very little time to add to their squads.
This is when things start to get exciting, though, with clubs prepared to do anything, and therefore, pay more, to sign their transfer targets.
Here, we have gathered the very latest Premier League transfer rumours, with just four days of the window remaining.
United have no interest in Arsenal defender
Manchester United have reportedly dismissed speculation linking them with a move for Arsenal’s versatile defender Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The 23-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, is of no interest to United, despite contrasting reports.
That’s according to the Manchester Evening News , who claim that there are “nothing in the rumours” that circulated from Germany on Wednesday morning.
Maitland-Niles was on the brink of moving to Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in the summer, but the transfer collapsed at the last minute.
Arsenal handed Aouar boost
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has admitted the French club may lose two players before Friday evening.
That could be good news for Arsenal supporters, with the Gunners-linked Houssem Aouar potentially one of those players.
Speaking at a press conference, where the Ligue 1 club announced the signing of Lucas Paqueta from AC Milan, Aulas said: “From Friday evening, when Rudi (Garcia) will choose his squad vs Marseille, there will be no departures.
“We could see ourselves lose two players.”
Wilder makes Brooks transfer admission
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has admitted his desire to bring Wales international David Brooks back to Bramall Lane.
The Bournemouth midfielder spent three years at the Blades from 2015 until 2018 before moving down to the south coast.
Now, Wilder has admitted that he wants to re-sign the 23-year-old ( via The Star ): “I’d love, and maybe I’m out of order for saying this but I mean it with the utmost respect, to bring David Brooks back to this football club.
“If he was available that is. Maybe I’m wrong for talking about him, but he’s a match-winner.”
Newcastle make Rugani offer
Newcastle United have made an offer to Juventus for defender Daniele Rugani, according to Gazzetta dello Sport ( via Sport Witness ).
The Italian publication reports the Magpies have made a ‘paid loan’ offer, but there is no mention of it leading to a permanent deal.
La Liga side Valencia also have an interest in the Italian centre-back, with West Ham United linked with him as well.
The 26-year-old played just 14 games in all competitions last season for Maurizio Sarri’s side, and is set to leave the club in order to play more.
