The summer transfer window is now closed, but Leeds United continue to be involved in numerous rumours across the world.
The January window opens in less than two and a half months, and the rumour mill is filling up again with potential targets for the Whites.
Marcelo Bielsa had a busy summer, bringing in a host of new additions to Elland Road, and Leeds may look for even more signings in January.
Here are the latest Premier League transfer rumours, including an interesting development concerning Leeds United.
Leeds look to hijack West Ham signing
Leeds are planning on hijacking West Ham United’s move for Frederik Alves, according to Danish outlet BT.
The Silkeborg centre-back has reportedly agreed personal terms with the East London side already, but now there appears to be a late move from the Whites.
The report claims that Bielsa’s side are “still in the picture”, despite having a bid rejected over the summer.
As well as the Premier League duo, FK Rostov and Dinamo Zagreb are both interested in 20-year-old Alves who has been impressing watching scouts in recent months.
Chelsea willing to let Kepa leave
Chelsea are willing to let goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga leave the club on loan in January, according to Estadio Deportivo.
The Spanish outlet are reporting that Sevilla are considering a move for the Blues shot-stopper, who has fallen out of favour this season.
Frank Lampard signed Edouard Mendy in the summer, and his new goalkeeper has started three of the last four games in all competitions.
Kepa signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2018 for a world record fee of £71m - the most spent on a ‘keeper.
Spurs plan to terminate Rose’s deal
Tottenham Hotspur are planning to cancel left-back Danny Rose’s contract, according to Football Insider.
Rose was omitted from Spurs’ 25-man Premier League squad earlier in the week, and his future is set to be away from North London.
The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United, but has since returned to Spurs.
Jose Mourinho’s side are now considering terminating the former England international’s contract, meaning the club could have to pay Rose for the remainder of his deal.
Blades monitor Reading star
Sheffield United are interested in Reading midfielder John Swift, and see him as a possible replacement for John Lundstram.
Lundstram has been in talks with the Blades over a new deal, but the two parties have failed to reach an agreement just yet.
Chris Wilder is already planning for life without the 26-year-old, according to the Sheffield Star with Swift on the list of possible replacements.
Wilder has reportedly monitored the Royals star for more than 12 months.
Torreira wants Atletico stay
Lucas Torreira does not want to return to Arsenal, as the Uruguayan midfielder looks to make his Atletico Madrid stay a permanent one.
Torreira signed for the La Liga giants on transfer deadline day, on a season-long loan deal from the Gunners.
Speaking to Ovacion Digital (via the Daily Star ), the 24-year-old has opened up on his future: “It is a new opportunity in my life, in which I have fought a lot, because Atletico has always been one of my dreams, one of my goals as a team, and being able to achieve it at the age of 24 is something very important.
“It all depends on how I go during the season, which I hope is very good, and maybe in the future I can stay in the club.”
