The hunt for the Champions League places is on in the Premier League, and the gap is closer than ever before.
Manchester City and Liverpool look to have the top two places sewn up between them as their title race goes to the wire, but for the other four members of the ‘Big Six’, nothing is decided yet.
Manchester United secured three points with a nervy 2-1 home win over Watford on Saturday to go level on points with third-placed Tottenham on Saturday.
Chelsea put in a poor performance away to Cardiff City on Sunday, but the Blues sealed a controversial 2-1 comeback win in Wales to sit on 60 points with seven games to play.
Tottenham, meanwhile, slipped up on Merseyside as Liverpool won 2-1 late on at Anfield to go top, and consign Mauricio Pochettino's men to their fourth League defeat in five games.
That result gave Arsenal the chance to leapfrog Spurs against Newcastle on Monday night, and a 2-0 win sent the Gunners third while also pushing Man Utd out of the top four.
The weekend's action means just three points separate sixth from third, with the race set to go down to the wire.
