Premier League top four permutations as Man Utd, Chelsea and Leicester battle goes to final day

It is all to play for with regards to Champions League qualification on the final day of the Premier League season with Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester to discover their fate.

United's 1-1 draw with West Ham on Wednesday evening was followed by Chelsea being defeated 5-3 by Liverpool, while the Foxes lost their last game 3-0 to Tottenham last week.

With all three teams dropping points in gameweek 37, it sets us up for a mouthwatering final day of the campaign on Sunday, and two hugely exciting games with Leicester hosting United and Chelsea at home to in-form Wolves.

Despite the disappointing score against the Hammers, the point United earned still saw them move up to third in the table, and they are now level with Chelsea on 63 points but with a much better goal difference, while Leicester are one point behind both sides on 62.

What that means is that the Red Devils will be guaranteed Champions League football next season if they avoid defeat against the Foxes in a few days time.

Leicester, meanwhile, know that they themselves with be playing against Europe's elite if they can win at the King Power Stadium.

A point would be enough for Brendan Rodgers' side if Wolves can do them a favour and beat Chelsea, due to the fact that their goal difference is 28 compared to the Blues' 13.

For Frank Lampard's team, it is simply a case of having to avoid defeat to guarantee Champions League football - and they would even qualify with a loss if United beat Leicester.

It is all set up to be a dramatic day's action, with relegation spots and Europa League qualification also still up for grabs.

The big game of the day must surely be considered Leicester v United, though, and all eyes will be on the midlands come 4pm to see which of the two sides can hold their nerve and bank millions for the club in Champions League money.
