Liverpool Premier League hopes still alive as pressure now on Man City

The pressure is back on Manchester City in one of the most enthralling Premier League title races ever after Liverpool's dramatic 3-2 win at Newcastle United.

Liverpool were level at 1-1 and 2-2 during the entertaining game at St James' Park but an 86th minute goal from Divock Origi was the difference as Jurgen Klopp's men edged Newcastle.

Now we know the title race will go down to the last day after Liverpool jumped two points above Man City, with the Blues still having two games left.

Virgil van Dijk opened the scoring for Liverpool with a headed goal only for Christian Atsu to equalise moments after Trent Alexander-Arnold escaped a red card for a handball.

Alexander-Arnold assisted Van Dijk's first goal and did the same with Mohamed Salah's strike which put Liverpool 2-1 in front. However, Salomón Rondón hit back in the 54th minute as the Reds looked likely to give City the title edge.
