Liverpool are just a single point behind Manchester City after their win over Arsenal.
Brighton lost to the Reds to kick the weekend off as Jurgen Klopp’s side cut City’s lead, before Tottenham travelled to Old Trafford but fell victim to a deadly Cristiano Ronaldo in top form.
On Sunday, Chelsea looked to put the club’s upheaval to one side as they beat in-form Newcastle to Stamford Bridge, while Arsenal climbed straight back into the top four with a convincing win over Leicester.
Crystal Palace held City to a goalless draw on Monday night under the lights at Selhurst Park.
On Wednesday, Tottenham won a tricky trip to Brighton, and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side suffered the end to their winning run as Liverpool claimed all three points in north London. Everton beat Newcastle on Thursday.
