Today’s Premier League action brought something of a rarity as all three of the early title candidates were in action in the 3pm BST kick-offs.
League leaders Chelsea beat Newcastle 3-0 this afternoon, at the same time as Manchester City lost to Crystal Palace and Liverpool drew with Brighton at Anfield.
Before all that, a resurgent Arsenal continued their excellent recent form as they beat Leicester at the King Power.
Brentford and Watford, meanwhile, lost to Burnley and Southampton respectively.
Then, Saturday evening brought perhaps the biggest game of the weekend as two under-fire managers went head-to-head in ‘El Sackico’, during which Manchester United ran out 3-0 winners away at Tottenham Hotspur.
On Sunday, West Ham continued their sensational start to the season with a 4-1 win at Aston Villa while Leeds beat Norwich 2-1 at Carrow Road.
Wolves then beat Everton on Monday night to move up to seventh.
