Liverpool maintained their 100 per cent record with a big win away at Chelsea on Sunday.
They stay five points clear of Manchester City, the biggest lead at this early stage of the season than ever seen before in the Premier League.
City had briefly reduced the gap after thumping Watford on Saturday, winning 8-0 at the Etihad Stadium, and travel to Merseyside to face Everton next weekend.
Bournemouth kicked off the weekend action on Friday night with a fine 3-1 victory against South Coast neighbours Southampton before Tottenham lost Saturday's lunchtime kick-off at Leicester City.
A busy Sunday in the capital started with West Ham's home win over Manchester United as Crystal Palace were denied in the 96th minute by 10-man Wolves. Arsenal then overcame Aston Villa with 10 men.
