There is just one day of the 2018-19 Premier League season left, but it could yet prove to be one of the most dramatic in the competition's history.
Manchester City had Vincent Kompany to thank as a dramatic winner from the club captain saw the champions beat Leicester City 1-0 on Monday night to retake top spot in the table from Liverpool.
Little seemed on when the ball was played to Kompany well outside the box with 20 minutes left to play but the captain took a couple of touches before firing a tremendous strike into the top corner of the net.
That result means Man City will win the title if they match Liverpool's result on the final day of the season - City head to Brighton, while Liverpool host Wolves.
As for Liverpool, they ensured that the title race would definitely go to the last day with a dramatic win at Newcastle United.
Meanwhile, Chelsea secured Champions League football with a 3-0 victory over Watford as their fellow top-four rivals Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United all slipped up.
Tottenham will ensure a top-four finish as long as they avoid a heavy defeat to Burnley, but would qualify for the Champions League regardless if they beat Liverpool in the Final on June 1.
As for Arsenal, they too will qualify for Europe's elite club competition if they overcome Chelsea in the Europa League Final - another all-English showpiece match.
