The summer transfer window may be shut, but with January now just over two months away, there are plenty of new rumours coming through.
It was an unusual period for clubs, as they were forced to spend less than they would typically do, due to the financial impact the coronavirus pandemic has had, and is still having.
However, teams were still able to find some bargains, and complete free transfers - something they’ll be looking to do in January as well.
With that being said, here are the latest Premier League transfer rumours.
Leeds to offer Alioski new deal
According to Football Insider, Leeds United are planning on opening talks with Ezgjan Alioski over a new deal at Elland Road.
The 28-year-old is now in the final year of his deal with the Whites, but is expected to extend his stay in Yorkshire.
Marcelo Bielsa is a big admirer of Alioski, despite the Macedonian not being a guaranteed starter under the Argentine boss.
The report states that Leeds are keen to keep hold of Alisoki and are preparing to offer him an extension.
Emerson attracting interest from multiple clubs
Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri is a target for Napoli, Inter Milan and Juventus, according to Sky Sport Italia (via the Express ).
Emerson is now the third-choice in his position at the Blues following Ben Chilwell’s summer arrival from Leicester City.
Now, the Italian outlet are reporting that Napoli are “desperate” to sign the 26-year-old, with Inter and Juve also keen.
Chelsea signed Emerson back in 2018 from Roma, but he has only made 30 appearances for the west London side in all competitions.
Bertrand close to new Saints deal
Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand is close to agreeing a new three-year deal with the Premier League side.
That’s according to Goal , who are reporting that the English defender is close to putting pen-to-paper on a new deal at St. Mary’s.
The ex-Chelsea full-back signed for the Saints in 2015, and a strong run of form when he initially signed saw him pick up 19 England caps.
Bertrand’s new deal would take him up until he’s 34, meaning the majority of his remaining years in football are likely to be down on the south coast.
Man City to sign teenager Stevanovic
Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Partizan winger Filip Stevanovic in the New Year, according to Manchester Evening News .
The teenager has been a sensation in Serbia, since bursting onto the scene - attracting plenty of interest.
Despite a host of European teams coming in for the 18-year-old, it looks like City will win the race for the talented winger.
Pep Guardiola’s side are likely to loan Stevanovic back out if he does sign to try and get him some valuable senior experience to continue his development.
