Footballers could be tested twice weekly while ambulances are present at games, it has been suggested.
Speaking about the effects of lockdown and wishes to salvage the current Premier League season, one footballer revealed possible safety measures which could be introduced.
Glenn Murray, a striker for Brighton and Hove Albion, appeared via video link to speak on Good Morning Britain about starting training and games up again.
Presenter Susanna Reid asked about social distancing during training sessions.
Glenn Murray said: "I'm not entirely sure how you social distance in training - that's a bit of a tricky one to be honest, Susanna."
Regarding potential safety measures which could be introduced, the striker said he didn't know if it was "the right decision".
He said: "But as far as getting back up and running, I think we're talking about testing the players twice weekly, there'll have to be ambulances at games and I just wonder if it's the right decision to take that away from the NHS and the general public."
Susanna said: "If you could do it in a way where you absolutely made sure you didn't take resources away from the NHS and the general public, is it something you would support?"
Glenn: "Yeah, definitely - listen, I want to get back to playing football as much as the next man and I just want to get back to normal life as soon as possible and the sooner that can happen, the better but I just want it to be in a safe environment for everyone."
Premier League clubs have said they are committed to completing the 2019/2020 season.
