Premier League player of the year: Tomas Soucek joins Harry Kane and Ruben Dias on shortlist

Tomas Soucek has rounded off a fine campaign with West Ham by being nominated for the Premier League’s player of the season, alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Ruben Dias and Bruno Fernandes.

Soucek has had a brilliant season for West Ham, scoring 10 goals in the Premier League and helping them qualify for the Europa League by finishing sixth.

The midfielder’s form has now been recognised as he is one of eight players shortlisted for the Premier League’s player of the season award.

Soucek is joined by Tottenham’s Kane, who was the League’s top scorer and created the most assists, Manchester City’s Dias - who was named PWA player of the year, and Manchester United’s Fernandes

Dias is joined by City team-mate Kevin De Bruyne, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Chelsea’s Mason Mount complete the shortlist.

Voting is now open for the award and fans have until 6pm on June 3 to vote for their favourite on the EA Sports website.

The votes of the public will be combined with those of the 20 club captains and a panel of football experts to decide the winner.
