Premier League duo Burnley and Sheffield United are said to “have been put off” by Nottingham Forest’s valuation of centre-back Joe Worrall.
The Reds ace has been attracting admiring glances from top-flight sides for some time, and speculation has increased after an impressive 2019/20 campaign.
Both the Clarets and the Blades have been linked with Worrall, with previous reports suggesting the former planned to offer defender Ben Gibson as part of a swap deal.

But The Sun now claim the two sides have been deterred by a £10m price-tag, saying Forest would be prepared to sell “if the price is right”.
The report adds: “Clarets’ plan to offer Ben Gibson in part exchange is struggling as he eyes a Middlesbrough return”.
Nigel Doughty Academy product Worrall was a key figure under Sabri Lamouchi last term.
After returning from a loan at Rangers the previous year, he made 48 appearances in the Garibaldi as the Reds fell just short of a top six finish.
He recently signed a new long-term contract which will keep him at the City Ground until 2024.
Burnley and United are also among the teams linked with Worrall’s in-demand teammate Matty Cash.
The Blades are said to be prepared to be persistent when it comes to chasing Cash’s signature.
A bid to remain within FFP limits means Forest may well have to consider selling one of their star players this summer.
