Premier League on Amazon Prime - the devices you can and can not watch matches on

Amazon is streaming 20 Premier League matches live throughout December including Newcastle's clash with Sheffield United on Thursday.

Amazon has signed a three-year deal with the Premier League to live stream matches to Amazon Prime members. Top flight fixtures are being shown throughout this week, including tonight's Merseyside derby between title favourites Liverpool and their relegation-threatened neighbours, Everton.

Amazon will also live stream Sheffield United v Newcastle United on Thursday. Kick off at Bramall Lane is at 7.30pm. Amazon is showing nine matches on Boxing Day, including Newcastle's trip to Manchester United.

Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to watch all the games through supported devices. You can subscribe for £7.99 a month - or take advantage of a free trial , which will allow you watch all of December's matches for £0 - as long as you remember to cancel the trial before it automatically renews and charges after 30 days.

But be warned, not every TV, games console or set top box supports Amazon Prime, and some that do support Prime do not not support its live streaming feature.

NOW TV boxes are among those which you can not access Prime's streaming service through.

If you have a TV but no hardware which supports Prime, your cheapest and best option may be to buy an Amazon Fire stick, which plugs into your TV. Currys/PC World sells them for £39.99 . Alternatively, if you have a PS4, Xbox One, laptop, smart phone or tablet, you could try hooking that up the TV, as they support Amazon Prime.

Amazon Prime Video is NOT supported on these devices

Amazon Prime is not compatible with these, although some - like the TVs - will be if you plug in a Fire stick into the HDMI port.

  • LG Hawaii TV: certain 2015 and earlier LG TVs
  • Sony Bravia TV: certain 2015 and earlier Bravia TVs
  • Sony Bravia Blu-Ray Disc Player
