Premier League official goalkeeper report proves Alisson is hardest to beat

An official Premier League report has proven that Liverpool's Alisson is the hardest goalkeeper to beat in the top flight.

The Brazilian stopper has formed a crucial part of his club's spine this season as the Reds have surged towards the title.

His performances in Liverpool's net were well recognised at the end of last year, winning him FIFA's Best Goalkeeper award.

And despite missing a number of games this season through injury, the 27-year-old still boasts the highest save percentage in the division.

Alisson has kept out 80.4% of on-target shots aimed at his goal this season.

That's more than any other keeper in the Premier League, with Tottenham's Hugo Lloris (78.1%), Crystal Palace's Vicente Guaita (75.7%), and Sheffield United's Dean Henderson (75.6%) trailing closely behind.

Liverpool have managed to keep 10 clean sheets from 20 matches with Alisson between the sticks.

Of course he does have the added security of having a world class back four in front of him, but his stats speak for themselves.

Having said that, his amount of saves from expected goals chances are less than his rivals, with Guaita topping that chart, conceding 9.6 fewer goals than he should have done.

Other stats measured across the league's goalkeepers include most catches, with Burnley's Nick Pope proving to be a colossus in the air with 34 - which is 10 more than second-placed Tim Krul of Norwich.

Pope has also kept the highest number of clean sheets with 11, just edging Alisson's total.

However the keeper with the most work to do has been Newcastle's Martin Dubravka, whose goalmouth has been peppered by opposition strikers.

The Slovakian has been called into action no less than 117 times - and of those, 80 have been inside his area.

Dubravka also has an impressive ratio of denying expected goals, preventing 8.7 shots that were destined to hit the back of the net.
