The Premier League has announced the appointment of David Pemsel as its new chief executive.
Premsel, who is currently CEO of Guardian Media Group, will take up the post no later than April 2020, just before the end of the current Premier League season.
Richard Masters has held the position of interim chief executive ever since Richard Scudamore stepped down from the role in 2018. The Premier League had already appointed Susanna Dinnage to take the role before the television executive decided to quit the job before starting in December last year.
Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck, who also chairs the Premier League's nominations committee, said: "We are delighted to welcome David to the Premier League. His straightforward style and personal integrity make him an ideal person to lead the business.

In addition, he has worked with the big players in digital and media and has managed diverse groups and constituencies."
