A total of 24 players have won the Premier League Golden Boot in the league’s 28-year existence.
On three occasions (1998, 1999, 2019) the prize has been shared between three players, while two players have ended the season as top scorer on one occasion (2011).
Thierry Henry has won the Golden Boot the most, being top scorer on four occasions, while Arsenal and Liverpool are the title’s most prolific clubs, with players from both clubs winning the trophy six times.
This year Jamie Vardy became the oldest player to win the accolade at the age of 33.
The Leicester City striker scored 23 goals to beat last season's joint winner, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal, and Southampton's Danny Ings by one strike.
