On 21 points, Manchester City lead by a point from West Ham, whose win over Chelsea has taken them into second place, just one point behind. Meanwhile in 15th place, defending champions Chelsea have 11 points. There’s no doubt that their manager Jose Mourinho will feature prominently in the headlines after being sent off at half-time, apparently for attempting to gain access to the changing room occupied by referee Jon Moss and his assistants.

West Ham add another big-name scalp to their impressive collection, inflicting Chelsea’s seventh defeat of the season in all competitions on Jose Mourinho’s team in a match where Nemanja Matic was sent off after West Ham had taken the lead through Mauro Zarate. Gary Cahill bagged a second half equaliser after Jose Mourinho was sent off during the interval, but Andy Carroll came the bench to head West Ham back in front and secure all three points for his team.

GOAL! Aston Villa 1-2 Swansea City (A Ayew)
As anyone who has seen them play on a regular basis will attest, anything Jordan Ayew can do his brother Andre can do better . the Swansea City man joins his brother on the scoresheet to give Swansea City and leave Tim sherwood looking exceptionally glum on the sideline. You’d need a heart of stone not to feel some pity for the Aston Villa manager.

Sky Sports are reporting that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho attempted to get into the referee’s changing room at half-time and was ordered out and then issued with a red card. It’ll be interesting to see if he calls Jon Moss “naive and weak” in the wake of this game.
Meanwhile in Spain: Real Madrid lead Celta Vigo 2-0 at the Balaidos Stadium after 51 minutes. Cristiano Ronaldo and Danilo got the goals there.
Another goal in the Championship: Derby lead Huddersfield 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium, where George Thorne has given the Rams the lead.
Jose Mourinho has been sent to the stand ...
After Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas got booked for dissent in the aftermath of Nemanja Matic’s red card just before the interval at Upton Park, Jose Mourinho was given a red card in the tunnel when he waited for referee Jon Moss to come in for his half-time brew. One of Mourinho’s assistants has also been dismissed. The Chelsea meltdown cranks up a notch just when it looked as if they might be getting their season back on track.

Salomon Rondon runs 50 yards to get on the end of a marvellous cross from James McClean and head past John Ruddy to put the Baggies ahead.

More on that Matic dismissal: Jon Moss was the referee who sent off Matic after a long consultation with one of his assistants and was promptly surrounded by five different Chelsea players, led by John Terry, who didn’t happen to agree with his decision. They can have no grumbles, not that that will stop them moaning. It was a yellow card.
RED CARD! Chelsea's Nemanja Matic sent off
Chelsea have a Cesc Fabregas equaliser ruled out for offside and it doesn’t look a great decisiion. Having run down the touchline to whinge at the match officials, Jose Mourinho is given more fuel for his conspiracy theories as Nemanja Matic is sent off for his second booking. He drags down Diafra Sakho and it’s a fair booking which prompts sarcastic laughter from Mourinho on the bench.

The day's 3pm kick-offs are under way
But at Craven Cottage where Fulham are taking on Reading in the Championship, the home side have just gone 4-2 ahead after 72 minutes. By all accounts it’s been a fairly one-sided encounter, with Reading being the side that are dominating! They’re not dominating on the scoreboard, however, with Moussa Dembele scoring his second to give Fulham a two-goal cushion.
Not long now ...
We’re approaching kick-off time for today’s 3pm matches. Referees are checking their watches, managers are settling into their comfy dug-out chairs, players are going through last-minute pre-game high fives and stadium announcers the length and breadth of the country are reading out the line-ups. Let’s be careful out there, people.

Bundesliga latest: Five matches kicked off 21 minutes ago and it’s scoreless in each and every one of them. Already seven points clear at the top of the table, Bayern Munich play sixth place Cologne today.
Championship latest: I had to step away from my desk briefly and it’s all gone mad at Craven Cottage, where Fulham have come from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 in six second-half minutes. Orlando Sa but the Royals 2-0 ahead after 49 minutes, but goals from Ross McCormack, Moussa Dembele and Alex Kacaniklic have turned the game on its head after an hour.
Garry Monk speaks ...
It’s been a difficult week for the Swansea City manager, who has hit his first potholes as a young manager with his Swansea team currently out of form. “It’s been an interesting one and one in which I’ve really just focussed on the players and this game,” he tells Sky Sports. “I just think they need to trust in themselves and get their confidence levels back up. We know how good we can be.”
Tim Sherwood speaks ...
“A win would be handy,” says Villa’s manager upon being asked message he’ll be giving his players this afternoon. “We’re going to be pushing for the win because we need the three points today. I couldn’t get any more centre-forwards on the pitch so we’ll be going all out to win this game.” Tim goes on to say that the Villa Park crowd “got us through a few matches last season” and calls on them to help his players over the line today. He seems in chipper enough form, for a man whose job is believed to be hanging on the line this afternoon. The Premier League would be a duller place without him, I have to say.

We've had a goal at Ewood Park ...
Burnley have taken the lead against Blackburn Rovers, Scott Arfield opening the scoring after 63 minutes. Here’s how Scott Murray saw it in his minute-by-minute report ...
What a finish by Scott Arfield! A free kick down the Burnley left. It’s hoicked into the Blackburn box. Some head tennis ensues. Mee, on the penalty spot, takes a fresh-air swipe at the ball. It breaks back to Arfield, on the edge of the area. He sidefoots with power into the top right, then races off down the other end of the park to celebrate with his fans. Bedlam, bedlam, bedlam!
Early kick-off news ...
Blackburn Rovers and Burnley are currently going at it in the Championship, where it’s scoreless after 62 minutes. Scott Murray is covering that for us on a minute-by-minute basis and you can see what he makes of it all here. At Craven Cottage, Fulham’s owner Shahid Khan is there to run the rule over his team as they attempt to regain promotion to the Premier League. Cottagers boss Kit Symons will be feeling the heat as Fulham haven’t got off to the best of starts this season, winning just three and drawing five of their 12 games so far. They’re currently playing Reading and losing 1-0 after 15 minutes, with Lucas Piazon opening the scoring.
Khan is ostensibly in in town town to see American football team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. take on the Buffalo Bills at Wembley tomorrow, but will no doubt be aware that certain sections of Fulham’s support called for Symons’ head following their 1-1 draw with Leeds during the week.
“I’ve just got to keep doing my job and do the best I can,” he said after the game. “We had a bad night and didn’t play very well and I’ll be the first one to hold up my hands and say that. It was a disappointing performance from us.”
In the Championship, it’s 1-1 between Sheffield United and Millwall after 70 minutes. Aiden O’Brien opened the scoring for Millwall after 30 minutes, but Sheffield United have just equalised.

Greetings sports fans ...
There are five 3pm kick-offs in the Premier League today, with the pick of the bunch probably in-form West Ham entertaining out-of-sorts champions Chelsea at Upton Park. Strugglers Aston Villa host Swansea City in what many suspect is a must-win match for the home side if their manager Tim Sherwood is to keep his job, while two of the season’s surprise packages, Leicester City and Crystal Palace will be getting it on in a difficult game to call at the King Power Stadium. At Carrow Road, Norwich City will attempt to atone for last weekend’s strange mauling at the hands of Newcastle, while Stoke host Watford at the Britannia Stadium, with the Hornets hoping to arrest a winless streak of three consecutive Premier League games. We’ll have team news and build-up from all these matches, as well as the Championship, League One, League Two, Scotland and continent from 2pm.
