Premier League fixtures released as Arsenal kick off season against Lampard’s Coventry

  • Arsenal will commence the defence of their Premier League title against newly-promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium on Friday 21 August, marking the opening fixture of the 2026/27 season.
  • Frank Lampard ’s Coventry, returning to the top flight after 25 years, face a challenging start, including a trip to Manchester City in their third fixture, while fellow promoted sides Hull host Manchester United on the opening weekend and Ipswich play Sunderland.
  • Key derby dates include the North London derbies on 5 December and 1 May, and the Merseyside derbies with Everton hosting Liverpool on 28 November and visiting Anfield on 30 January.
  • The season will feature a full schedule of Boxing Day fixtures, with Coventry set to play Chelsea, now under Xabi Alonso, and Manchester City will face Manchester United on 12 September.
  • The new campaign begins just 34 days after the World Cup final in the United States and concludes on Sunday 30 May 2027, with Sky Sports and TNT Sports sharing television coverage, including Sky showing at least 215 exclusive live games.
