The Premier League have confirmed how the 2022 World Cup will impact their 2022/23 campaign.
The tournament in Qatar is set to take place in the middle of the domestic calendar, but the top division believe their schedule should only be affected for one year.
The organisation has released the dates that the competition will run from next term, starting from 6th August 2022.
Matches will then come to a halt on November 12th/13th for players to take part in the World Cup, with that coming 16 games into the season.
The Premier League is then set to resume again on Boxing Day following the international tournament's final eight days previously.
The final match round of the campaign will then be played on May 28th, with all games kicking off simultaneously as usual.
There will still be a standalone FA Cup Final weekend as part of the term, with the exact date yet to be provided.
