The Premier League have confirmed that there will be no more blanket television coverage next season, despite the campaign starting behind closed doors.
It leaves fans facing the prospect of being unable to watch their team's start to the season live, unless games are picked by broadcasters.
During Project Restart, with all games played without fans, the Premier League made the one-off move to show every single one of the remaining 92 fixtures live on television, even granting the BBC four live games following Government pressure.
However, when the new season begins on September 12, live games will return to a more normal schedule, even though fans will not be allowed into stadiums until October at the earliest, and even then in limited numbers.
The Premier League have, however, confirmed that there will be 20 additional live games shown by their rights holders across the 2020-21 season, with Sky Sports being given 12, BT Sport six and two for Amazon Prime.
Due to the truncated schedule, the Premier League have included an extra two rounds of midweek games - one to be spread across two weeks in January and the other in the week commencing May 10, with all games to be shown live.
