Premier League clubs planning to bring fans into stadiums via Zoom

Premier League clubs are working on plans to bring fans into stadiums via Zoom when football returns next week.

The remainder of the top flight season, which resumes with two games a week today, will be played behind closed doors with only club staff and a restricted media presence allowed inside stadiums.

Clubs have been exploring the best ways of involving their supporters virtually and are working with the league to beam fans onto the big screens at grounds.

Danish club AGF Aarhus set the precedent last month when they installed a 40 metre screen in the stands to bring their supports into the ground.

A number of Premier League clubs have contacted Aarhus' communications department to seek guidance.

Clubs here will use the screens already installed in stadiums to display their fans instead of erecting any temporary ones in the stands for fear of blocking the view of broadcast cameras, with all 92 of the remaining fixtures to be shown live on television.
