Premier League clubs are in discussions about players taking a knee before matches to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and honour George Floyd.
Talks are ongoing between the League and clubs about how to recognise the global anti-racism movement – sparked by Floyd's death in Minneapolis – when the top-flight resumes on June 17 and the logistics could be ironed out at tomorrow's shareholders' meeting.
In the Bundesliga, which resumed last month, teams and officials have taken a knee pre-match and the chairman of anti-discrimination organisation Kick It Out, Sanjay Bhandari, has urged the Premier League to follow suit.
Bhandari has also encouraged players to take a knee while celebrating goals, and the FA has vowed not to sanction players for using their platforms to protest.
Clubs are also planning to discuss paying tribute to the victims of the coronavirus pandemic, likely with a minute's silence before kick-off, as in Germany.
Clubs have already agreed to wear heart-shaped badges on their shirts to thank the NHS and key workers for their efforts in fighting the pandemic.
