Premier League club make key transfer decision on Nottingham Forest ace - report

Everton could put their interest in Nottingham Forest star Matty Cash on hold, according to reports.

The Premier League club have been linked with a move for 22-year-old Cash.

Express Sport claims the Toffees were set to make a big for Cash in the January transfer window.

However, the report states that may not happen now following the sacking of manager Marco Silva.

Silva was relieved of his duties last week, following the 5-2 thrashing by local rivals Liverpool.

Duncan Ferguson has been placed in caretaker charge, and led the team to an impressive 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Cash, who can play in midfield or at right-back, came through the youth ranks at Forest and has made 117 first-team appearances to date, scoring 12 goals.

He has played 21 times under Sabri Lamouchi this season.

The youngster recently pledged his future to the club, signing a new contract.

As well as Everton, Southampton have also been credited with an interest in the player.
