Premier League club confirms availability of striker linked with Bristol City, West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough

Sean Dyche has confirmed that Nahki Wells could leave Burnley today.

Bristol City are one of a number of Championship clubs that have been linked with the striker, who spent last season on loan at QPR, netting seven goals in 40 appearances.

He moved to Burnley for £5m in August 2017 but has so far made just nine league appearances, all of them off the bench.

Dyche confirmed in a press conference today that Wells' departure on loan is a possibility but that so far nothing has been confirmed.

The Robins are still searching for a striker, having seen moves for Eddie Nketiah, Bobby Reid and Charlie Austin fall through this week.

However, QPR have been linked with Wells, alongside West Brom, Middlesbrough and Birmingham City.

Yet with Austin on his way to West Brom, they may no longer be interested in the 29-year-old.

Wells is a Bermudan international who has previously enjoyed successful spells at the likes of Huddersfield Town and Carlisle United.

Yet, at 5ft 7in, questions would remain over whether he is the sort of striker that the Robins need.
