Premier League cleared for return as Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham unanimously approve protocols

Premier League clubs have unanimously approved protocols on player health and safety.

All 20 clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs agreed on the protocols in Thursday's meeting, clearing the final hurdle ahead of the top flight's restart on June 17.

According to the Daily Star, not a single club raised any concerns over the season's restart and the plans to keep players and staff safe.

Premier League clubs have been training across the past few weeks as they look to rebuild fitness ahead of next week's big kick-off, and some teams have even played friendly fixtures with Arsenal facing Charlton and Brentford in the last week.

Aston Villa and Sheffield United are set to restart the season as part of a double-header with Manchester City and Arsenal seeing out the first evening of action since the season was halted more than three months ago.

The latest Premier League test results saw one person test positive from 1,213 tested across players and staff.

The previous round of tests returned no positive results from 1,195 tested.

Those results reflect a decline in positive cases with the opening tests, which were done in mid-May, returning six positive results
