"Premier League champions!" - West Ham fans are loving Pellegrini's team selection against Fulham

Manuel Pellegrini has handed debuts to club-record signing Sebastien Haller and fellow new recruit Pablo Fornals as West Ham face Fulham in a pre-season friendly at Craven Cottage.

Haller and Fornals joined up with their new teammates for the first time earlier this week at Rush Green and Pellegrini has had no hesitation in throwing both into the fire straight away.

Haller already has some pre-season training behind him with former club Eintracht Frankfurt but Fornals has only just returned from his summer holidays.

The duo line up in a very attacking side named by Pellegrini in west London. Fornals starts in a midfield four alongisde Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Jack Wilshere, with Haller playing the lone striker role up front.

And Hammers fans are loving it:

Mark Noble, Ryan Fredericks, Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna are all absent from the matchday squad having permanent fixtures in it all pre-season long.

Fabian Balbuena has returned to partner Issa Diop at centre half, Ben Johnson replaces Fredericks at right back while Aaron Cresswell lines up at left back, with Arthur Masuaku on the bench.

West Ham: Fabianski; Johnson, Diop, Balbuena, Cresswell; Rice, Wilshere, Lanzini, Fornals, Anderson; Haller.
