Premier League bid received for Nottingham Forest star - report

Reports state that Nottingham Forest have received offers for Matty Cash.

The full-back has played himself into a top-tier move with his performances in the Championship for the Reds this season.

According to Daniel Taylor of The Athletic, Forest have received an initial offer of £10 million. Instalments and add-ons will take the full value of the bid to £12 million but this is short of a bid from AC Milan.

Milan's deal is worth up to £15 million in total, which is still below Forest's valuation of the player which is understood to be around £18 million.

This comes after an earlier report which suggested a bid was being prepared, with Forest aiming not to sell the player.

Everton and Southampton are said to be interested in the full-back, who is very much a big part of his manager's plans.

“In English, it is ‘no way’. No way. No way," said head coach Sabri Lamouchi on Wednesday night when asked about Cash's potential transfer.

“No way. Don’t talk about players going out. We want to talk about players who can come in.

“We are doing well. I am very close to my players, because we need to focus on the pitch. We need to focus on what they are doing now together. That is the most important thing."
