Premier League top four race: Latest odds and permutations for Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester City

The race for Champions League qualification will go down to the wire, with three Premier League teams still dreaming of joining Liverpool and Manchester City at Europe's top table.

Man City have officially joined champions Liverpool as confirmed participants in next season's competition after their two-year ban from Uefa competitions was overturned last week.

That means it's a case of as you were regarding a top-four finish, not the top five as many previously hoped.

And that leaves three teams - Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester United - chasing the remaining two spaces with one game remaining.

So, who will join the top two? Here's the lay of the land for the season finale...

Premier League table as it stands

Pos Team P W D L GD Pts
1 Liverpool (c) 37 31 3 3 50 96
2 Man City 37 25 3 9 62 78
3 Man Utd 37 17 12 8 28 63
4 Chelsea 37 19 6 12 13 63
5 Leicester City 37 18 8 11 28 62

Chelsea: 1/10

The Blues have been brilliantly inconsistent since the restart, summed up no better than by Wednesday evening's 5-3 loss at Liverpool.

With Leicester losing and Manchester United drawing, Chelsea are on the verge. As their two rivals play each other on the final day, Chelsea only need a point. But they face Europa League-chasing Wolves.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils have been the Premier League's form side since the restart, and still hold their fate in their own hands despite dropped points against Southampton and then West Ham.

It all comes down to the final day, every neutral's dream, as United need a point away at Leicester to clinch one of the final spots. They leapfrogged Leicester by avoiding defeat against West Ham, and will hold on to fourth - or even third depending on how Chelsea on - should they draw at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

The Foxes had looked a shoo-in for Champions League football, and even title contenders at one points, but their dreadful run has seen them eventually drop out of the top four.

Just six wins since the middle of December means their strangehold on third has vanished and now face a fight to reach the Champions League.

It is still in their own hands, though. Beat Manchester United at home on the final day and they are in. If they can draw with United, but Chelsea will have to lose to Wolves.
