Premier League 2019/20 stats as winners and losers of longest season ever unveiled

The Premier League concluded almost a year after it started on Sunday with European qualification and relegation going down to the wire.

Manchester United and Chelsea secured their places in the top four with Leicester narrowly missing out - although their striker Jamie Vardy finished as the Golden Boot winner.

Aston Villa ensure their top flight status with Bournemouth and Watford both heading for at least a season in the Championship.

But this year has been all about Liverpool who finally ended a three year wait for a top flight title.

The Reds have been by far and away the most consistent and effective team in the Premier League and the stats back that up.

Manchester City were unable to offer any challenge to Liverpool but did have Kevin De Bruyne in excellent form for much of the year as he equalled Thierry Henry's 17 year old assists record.
