Premier Inn's latest sale includes £29 rooms for the summer holidays

Premier Inn is giving Brits the perfect excuse to bag cheap UK holidays this summer with its latest sale.

The budget-friendly hotel chain has just slashed prices on millions of rooms across the UK to just £29 a night. That includes its flexible booking rates too, which allow you to amend or cancel right up to 1pm on your arrival day.

You can already book the discounted rooms on the Premier Inn website although it's worth noting that they are subject to availability. (You can also find out more about different booking types on its rates page ).

Oh, and families can save some extra pennies as for every paying adult at breakfast, two kids eat for free!

Of course there are varying rules on when hotels can reopen in the UK amidst ongoing lockdown restrictions. Currently Premier Inn has hotels open in Wales. It's looking to reopen Scotland hotels from April 26, England hotels from May 17, and Northern Ireland hotels from May 24.

The new sale comes as the brand launches its brand new Ewe Tube platform, where you can watch adorable sheep before bed in order to help you get to sleep.

The videos include everything from ASMR content to clips of sheep wandering through the British countryside, and even some quirky recreations of iconic films and TV shows such as The Queen’s Lambit or Casabaaa-nca.

The idea for the new platform follows research conducted by Premier Inn which found that a third of Brits have admitted they need a holiday in the UK now more than ever.

The study found that Brits are feeling less rested than ever before - and yet the average person delays their bedtime by 36 minutes a night because they're streaming videos online. That amounts to 17 hours of rest time a month that they're missing out on.

So, they came up with the idea of creating a platform where you can literally count sheep in order to help yourself get to sleep!

Amanda Owen, The Yorkshire Shepherdess said: "It is amazing to be involved in Ewe Tube, Premier Inn’s first ever video streaming platform. I worked with the team and my flock of sheep (including some recently born lambs!) to create some entertaining and soothing content that will hopefully remind Brits of the beauty of the UK countryside, and help them to count sheep in real life, so that they too can rest easy".
