Premier Inn's latest sale currently includes two million rooms for £29 a night

Premier Inn is giving Brits the perfect opportunity to bag cheap UK holidays this summer as it celebrates the reopening of hotels in the latest round of lockdown easing.

The budget-hotel chain has slashed prices on TWO MILLION rooms across its 800 hotels, with prices from just £29 a night.

You can already book the deals on the Premier Inn website but it's worth noting that the rooms are subject to availability in your chosen hotel.

That includes everything from coastal hotels to city breaks, and even airport hotels like Gatwick and Heathrow for those who are looking to go abroad and need somewhere to sleep before an early flight.

The deal also applies on bookings for Premier Inn's brand new hotels including Blackpool North Pier and Bournemouth (West Cliff).

Don't be disheartened if the deals don't quite work for your chosen dates. There are plenty more ways to find cheap Premier Inn rates.

For example Mirror Discounts has Premier Inn discount codes which could help you save money on everything from rooms to meal deals. You may also want to bookmark our cheap hotels page which we regularly update with the latest sales and bargains that we find and think you will love.

If it's the uncertainty of the pandemic that's putting you off, it could be worth looking at different rate types too.

For example, Premier Inn has a Flex rate which lets you amend or cancel up to 1pm on your arrival day, as well as Semi-Flex which lets you amend your booking up to 1pm on the day of arrival, or cancel with a full refund provided you do this at least three days before you're due to stay.

England's lockdown restrictions eased a little further this week, which included allowing the reopening of hotels. You can now stay overnight with another household - meaning you could book a minibreak with friends and family. (The rule of six or two households still applies).

We've got a wider guide on hotels reopening across the UK including the differing rules you'll need to be aware of if you're planning a getaway.
