Preliminary election results released for Auckland region's three District Health Boards

Auckland Council has released the preliminary list of the members who will serve on the region's three district health boards.

It also revealed in a statement that only 394,634 (38 per cent) of Aucklanders who were eligible to vote did so.

Elected to the Auckland district health board were Jo Agnew, Lee Mathias, Michelle Atkinson, Judith Ola Bassett, Douglas Armstrong, Robyn Northey and Zoe Brownlie.

Katrina Bungard, Apulu Reece Autagavaia, Colleen Brown, Catherine Abel-Pattinson, Lyn Murphy, Ashraf Choudhary, Dianne Glenn will make up the Counties Manukau board.

Bungard, a child cancer survivor and amputee, was also elected to the Howick local board and Choudhary and Autagavaia will serve on Otara-Papatoetoe's local board.

Waitemata DHB will consist of Max Abbott, Allison Roe, James Le Fevre, Sandra Coney, Warren William Flaunty, Brian Neeson and Edward Benson-Cooper.

Flaunty was also elected to the Henderson-Massey local board.
