Preity Zinta joins Sunny Deol in Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Lahore 1947'; fans excited about actress' Bollywood COMEBACK

Preity Zinta is BACK!

The actress, who has been away from the spotlight, is making her big return to the sets with the highly-anticipated Sunny Deol starrer 'Lahore 1947'.

Pulling off a major surprise on her fans, Preity took to her handle on Wednesday to share behind-the-scenes photos from the sets. Posting a photo of the film's clapper board, she wrote, "On set for Lahore 1947."

She also posted a photo of herself with wet hair as she cuddled up with her director Rajkumar Santoshi.

The film marks Preity's reunion with Sunny, after working together on movies like 'Hero: Love Story of a Spy', 'Farz', and 'Bhaiyaji Superhit'.

Ecstatic fans took to the comments section to ask, "Preity’s comeback?"

Another said, "QUEEN IS BACK IN BOLLYWOOD!"

Sharing their excitement, another said, "can't wait to watch you on the big screen again..."

'Lahore 1947' which is being produced under Aamir Khan's banner, was announced last October. This marked the first collaboration between Sunny and Aamir's Productions, with both actors having previously worked with Santoshi on separate ventures.

In a joint statement, Khan and Santoshi, said "I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled 'Lahore, 1947'. We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favourite directors Raj Santoshi. The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching."

Sunny, who made a triumphant return to the big screen last year with 'Gadar 2', will also be joined by actress Shabana Azmi who will star in a pivotal role.

Expressing his excitement about the film, its cast and having AR Rahman and Javed Akhtar onboard for the project, the director said that this was his ‘dream team’.
