Pregnant woman thanks Bristol bus driver who came to her aid as she was being harassed by drunk man

A pregnant woman has thanked a Bristol bus driver who came to her aid as she was being harassed by a drunk man.

The woman said that the driver "saved her bacon" in the incident that happened on Bedminster Parade yesterday evening (April 15).

A Twitter user named Lizzi said she was very thankful for help as she is nine months pregnant.

She said: "Huge thank you to First Bus Bristol driver for getting out and checking I was OK (whilst 9 months pregnant and getting harassed by a drunk man on Bedminster Parade yesterday evening).

"You really saved my bacon!"

First Bus have responded to her thanks, saying it sounded like a "scary" situation.

They replied: "Good Morning Lizzi!

"That sounds like a scary situation to be in, glad our driver could be of assistance and that you are both safe and okay!"
