A pregnant woman was left distressed after a stranger left a ‘vicious and horrible’ note on her parked car while she was at work.
Anne-Marie Burke, who is seven months pregnant, found the note alongside a scratch on her new white BMW X5 after finishing her shift on Monday evening.
However, the note explained how they were specifically avoiding leaving details and instead scribed a calculated quip.
The note left on Anne-Marie’s car read: “I hit the back of your car because it was so badly parked.
Anne-Marie, who works in the Erneside shopping centre in Enniskillen, told MyFermanagh: “The damage isn’t too bad to be honest, but the note was quite vicious and horrible.
“I didn’t think it was very nice. I’m not cheeky and wouldn’t take up two spaces or anything like that.”
“I’m only leaving this note because people are watching and they think I’m leaving my name and address.”
Anne-Marie stated she would have asked the security in the centre to help but there is no CCTV in the carpark.
“There’s no security cameras inside the carpark unfortunately but I wanted to share it as the security in the centre may be able to help me if anyone had seen the vehicle at the time,” said Anne-Marie.
“If you do hit somebody’s vehicle, you should do the decent thing and leave your details.
“To think that people were watching you and would go to the hassle of writing a note to blame me for the fact that you obviously can’t park, and then hit my vehicle and just drove off.
“I probably wouldn’t have called them anyway, it’s only a small mark, I wouldn’t have bothered.
“But it just annoyed me with the way they had written the note, I thought it was a bit mean.”
