A pregnant teenager from Massachusetts has been missing for over a week after she vanished following an argument with her boyfriend. Kylee Monteiro, 18, was last seen on August 7 in the area of County Street in Rehoboth, a town in southeastern Massachusetts near the Rhode Island border.
Family members say Kylee is 11 weeks pregnant and had recently graduated from Attleboro High School. Her sister Faith Monteiro described her as “timid and scared” and said “she doesn’t know how to be on her own.” The family believes it is highly unusual for Kylee to willingly cut off all contact with loved ones and go dark on social media.
One of Kylee’s friends who spoke to her before she disappeared expressed deep concern for the young woman’s safety. The friend told local news that Kylee had said, ‘I don’t feel safe right now, something’s not right’ during their last conversation, expressing fears that echo patterns seen in domestic violence cases. After that message, Kylee stopped responding to her friend completely.
Ongoing search efforts include multiple agencies
Massachusetts State Police and Rehoboth Police have been conducting extensive searches in the area where Kylee was last seen, part of ongoing efforts to address missing women cases that deserve more attention. Search teams with K-9 units have been searching wooded areas near County Street and New Street. A dive team has also been deployed to search bodies of water, including Warren Upper Reservoir.
The search efforts have involved multiple agencies, including the Bristol County State Police Detective Unit and SEMLEC Search and Rescue. Police have been focusing their search around the County Street area, where several crews have been spreading out to search homes and wooded areas.

Faith Monteiro told reporters that the last contact anyone had with her sister was through a text message on Thursday, August 7. The last time the family heard Kylee’s voice was Wednesday night, the day before she disappeared. Faith said her sister had been living at a house for pregnant homeless women and went to pick up some belongings from her boyfriend’s house, which was when she vanished.
Kylee is described as about 6 feet tall and heavy set, with light brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red t-shirt with the phrase “Get Over It” on the front, along with ripped blue jeans and tan boots. Police say she may have been carrying a white bag with her belongings inside. Her family says she does not have the survival skills to be on her own and that this disappearance is completely out of character for her.
Anyone with information about Kylee’s whereabouts or video surveillance from County Street in Rehoboth is asked to contact Trooper Sabrina Hinchey at 508-972-1041 or Detective Paul McGovern at 508-252-3722 extension 1135.
