Pregnant Stacey Solomon hires out entire swimming pool to bring summer fun to her sons

Pregnant Stacey Solomon hired out a swimming pool to give her sons and their friends a taste of summer fun as she explained her family won’t be travelling abroad during the summer months.

The 31-year-old mum-of-three chipped in with a couple of other families to hire out an entire swimming pool leisure centre for their children on Friday afternoon.

And Stacey – who is pregnant with her fourth child, which will be her first girl – proved that the extravagant gesture can be surprisingly cheap with enough friends to spread the cost.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Friday, Stacey shared a string of photos and videos of herself alongside her two-year-old son Rex – who she shares with 39-year-old fiancé Joe Swash – at Colchester Leisure World.

She wrote: “We had the best evening.

“The boys love swimming so, so much. So me, my family and a few of the boys friends all chipped in and hired the pool for the night to try and do something different for the holidays.”

Stacey went on to explain that by spreading the cost of the pool hire between friends and family, the overall cost for each family group was surprisingly low.

She wrote: “It was so lovely and quiet and so nice to do something like this knowing we won’t get away or anything for a long time.

“I also thought it was super reasonable £250 for the night so between us all it worked out £35 a family.”

Explaining the pool as a family favourite “because it has loads of big slides and lots of stuff for little ones too”, Stacey looked in good spirits as she splashed in the water with her son.

She added: “Feel like we haven’t done much this summer and the weather hasn’t been great so tonight watching them having fun was everything.”

Stacey – who has a 13-year-old son named Zachary and a nine-year-old son named Leighton from two previous relationships – proudly showed off her baby bump while at the swimming baths.

Stacey has been keeping fans updated on her current pregnancy – and sharing her excitement at welcoming a daughter into her family.

In a recent Instagram post, she showed off he bump as she posed for a mirror selfie.

She captioned the moment: “Just because I don’t want to forget one bit, and I love my pants today.

“I love you so much already little one. Not long till I get to meet you…”

In a previous online update, she revealed she will be giving birth in late September or early October.

Meanwhile, the star confused fans earlier this month when she appeared on her ITV lunchtime panel show – after suggesting she would begin her maternity leave at the beginning of August.

One viewer took to Twitter last week to question: "Huh? I thought Stacey was in maternity leave?" – with another asking: "What happened to Stacey's maternity leave?"

The previous week, Stacey told her Loose Women co-stars after they threw her a baby shower: "I will probably come back after Christmas, I reckon. I've never had a proper maternity leave."
