Pregnant Rachel Riley says she's banned from watching dramatic TV by midwife

Pregnant Countdown host Rachel Riley says she's been warned by her midwife not to watch anything dramatic as she prepares for the birth of her second child.

Taking to Instagram Rachel compared her first baby bump to her second in two almost identical shots.

As she poses wearing a crop top and leggings with her bumps in full view the maths whizz wrote: "Bump no. one versus bump no. 2 just past 40 weeks.

"My midwife has ordered me to only watch happy/relaxing things, no drama/adrenaline/stress.

"Can someone let United know today please!"

Hopefully Rachel didn't watch the football yesterday as her beloved team was annihilated 5-0 by Liverpool.

Rachel is married to former Strictly star Pasha Kovalev and the pair have a daughter Maven, who will be two in December.

The couple, who met on the set of Strictly in 2013, said they wanted to have two children under the age of two.

Pasha previously told OK! magazine: "I think it's great because this helps them feel closer together. It will give them a chance to bond better because having a bigger age gap between them could leave them feeling more separated."

Speaking to MailOnline about motherhood, Rachel said: "We've bashed them out! Get the sleep deprivation over in one go is the plan.

The star signed off from her Countdown duties earlier this month confirming that she had finished work ahead of her due date.

She shared a message on Twitter to celebrate her final day on Countdown before her family grows.

Rachel will still appear on-screen until December as there is a delay between the show being filmed after that and Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon will fill in for Rachel until she returns from maternity leave.

Sharing a farewell message, the former Strictly star said: "Well that’s it from me, I’ve officially finished filming to pop a baby out!

"You’re stuck with me on screen till December when the totally amazing @aimafidonwill be keeping the numbers in line till I’m back next year! Hope you have loads of fun Anne-Marie, best of luck lovely!"

Rachel has presented the numbers section of Countdown since 2009, but shockingly revealed that she was groped by an audience member while she was backstage.

Speaking to The Sun she said: “This married couple came up to me and the lady said ‘oh my husband really likes watching you, do you mind if we just…’ and he squeezed my arse.

“I didn’t know what to do with myself.

“I was a bit shocked and stood back and they didn’t get invited back to the audience."
