Pregnant mum who mowed down cyclist while high on cocaine is caught driving

A mum high on cocaine who mowed down a cyclist has been caught defying her driving ban.

Police arrested pregnant Emily Brown, 32, driving with her daughter of six.

In June the lettings agency worker was taking her two children home, when she hit cyclist Stuart Crowther, 58.

Brown, of Royton, Greater Manchester, was jailed for 12 months, serving about six months, and given a four-and-a-half year ban.

She spent 28 more days in jail for the incident in March and admitted at Tameside magistrates to driving while disqualified.

After giving her a 12- week suspended jail term and a further 12-month ban, a JP said: “It is important, Ms Brown, you get yourself sorted out.’’
