A heavily pregnant woman was shocked after a complete stranger paid for her shopping and even helped carry it to her door. Courtney Jones was out shopping in Lidl in Daybrook, Nottingham with her children on Tuesday, March 29.
When she got to the checkout, she discovered that her card would not work. The mum faced having to return all her items before heading home to get some cash.
She then would've had to return to the store to pay again, while heavily pregnant and with her young children still in tow. However, before she could do this, she was approached by a good Samaritan who offered to pay for the shopping - which nearly totalled £40 - out of his own pocket.

Courtney said her faith in humanity has been restored following the experience. She told Nottinghamshire Live : "The man was called Will and after I had issues with my card I was about to walk home and get cash.
"I was crying at the checkout and got myself together, took myself and my young children outside the store. He approached me and asked me if I wouldn’t mind if he could save me having to walk home and pay for my shopping instead.
"He then carried it all the way home for me and helped me upstairs to my front door. Gentlemen do still exist."
She posted about her experience on social media adding that she "couldn't stop crying" after the experience. "There are still lovely people in the world," she added.
