Pregnant Millie Mackintosh 'struggled to function' as she battled nausea and fatigue

Millie Mackintosh has detailed her debilitating pregnancy symptoms while caring for her 13-month-old daughter Sienna in a new lengthy Instagram post.

The former reality TV star announced she was expecting her second child with husband Hugo Taylor over the weekend.

Now her pregnancy is no longer a secret, the 31 year old gave her Instagram followers an update on how she’s doing second time around.

Millie first shared a stunning photo of her cradling her blossoming bump and accompanied the beach shot with a lengthy caption, chronicling her pregnancy symptoms, which have included morning sickness, fatigue, insomnia and pelvic pain.

She began: "It’s been easier in some ways and harder in others, here are some of the symptoms I have been experiencing over the last few months.

"I had morning sickness from around 6 weeks until the end of my first trimester, I think I’m pretty much past it however occasionally it comes out of nowhere and catches me off guard.

"I’ve learnt that the only thing that really helps is for me to eat through it, ginger biscuits and marmite on toast saved me!” Millie shared.

"I’ve also had this awful sour, metallic taste in my mouth which has added to my general queasiness."

Discussing her fatigue while being a mum to Sienna, the fashion star added: “I felt exhausted in my first trimester, some days I struggled to focus or function.

"Being pregnant with a 1-year-old is a whole different ball game!

"I’ve also struggled with insomnia, I’m in bed asleep by 9pm most nights but am waking up around 3am to pee (for the 2nd time) and then I can’t get back to sleep.

"I have been trying to work in the mornings and rest when Sienna has her afternoon nap."

The former Made In Chelsea star added that her "hunger levels were crazy" during her first trimester and revealed she kept rice cakes by her bed.

Millie explained that she’s suffering with pelvic pain much like her first pregnancy and already has to avoid long walks and running.

"I had pelvic pain last time and it’s already started bothering me again," she penned.

"I know that pilates will help me to manage it as well as regular trips to the osteopath, avoiding certain exercises that trigger it and no long walks or running."

With all of that going on it’s no wonder Millie said her "emotions have been all over the place". Despite her exhaustion, the star said she was over the moon about adding to their family.

She concluded: "My emotions have been ALL over the place, I’m teary, grumpy and full of mood swings (lucky @hugotaylorlondon!)

"It’s definitely more challenging this time in some ways because it’s exhausting having a 1-year-old but I just feel so lucky and overwhelmed with happiness!"

Millie announced she was pregnant with her and husband Hugo Taylor's second child on Sunday - just 13 months after the birth of daughter Sienna.

The former Made In Chelsea star revealed the happy news in a joyful Instagram post, raising Sienna into the air while showing off her tiny bump in a pale pink swimsuit.

"We are so excited to announce that Sienna is going to be a big Sister!" Millie wrote.

"I couldn’t keep this to myself for much longer and I’m running out of ways to hide my bump! Baby 2 is due later this year."

She and Hugo were friends before Made In Chelsea and got together on the show.

However, fans watched as they explosively split when the news broke that he had cheated on her with her best friend Rosie Fortescue.

Years later, following her marriage to Professor Green, the pair rekindled their romance and welcomed baby Sienna in the spring of 2020.
